Rad /Cat Scan Tech,ImagingDepartment
Job Type:PRN,VariableShift

Provides computed tomography imagingin accordance withapplicable scope and standards of practice.

Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following:
* Reviews patient history andphysician’sorders.
* Educatespatientregardingprocedures,equipmentandexamto ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation.
* When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
* Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status asappropriate.
* Prepares equipment and supplies.
* Implements safety standards and performsappropriate qualitycontrol procedures on equipment.
* Troubleshoots, resolves, and/orreportsequipmentmalfunctionsas necessary.
* Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
* Analyzes results andidentifiesissues with the quality of imaging results.
* Takesappropriate actionto resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patientand repeating procedure.
* Enters,transmitsand reports scan results.

Required Licenses[Tennessee, United States] Radiologic Technologist and Technician
Current ARRT Licensure:â–¡ Preferred X Required
