Job Type:PRN,VariableShift
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing processin accordance withapplicable scope and standards of practice.
Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following:
* Performs initial and ongoing assessments ofpatient’scondition.Establishesa plan of care which isappropriate toproblemsidentifiedand involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
* Performsplanof care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
* Documents patient care given.
* Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition asappropriate tocareteam, physician, patient, and family.
* Assistspatients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
* Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge,referraland spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
* Evaluates learning needs ofpatientand/orfamilyand provides patient/family educationappropriate toage, culture, condition, and circumstances.
* Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Minimum EducationAssociate degree in Nursing is required, Bachelor degree in Nursing preferred
Required LicensesCurrent RN License in the State of TN or another compact state is required
Certifications:The below certifications will be required at the time of hire:Basic Life Support (BLS)
