As a Life Enhancement Specialist at PortagePointe, you will have a significant impact on the patients and staff that you interact with on a daily basis. You will be responsible to maintain a habilitative environment that promotes Elder independence in their home, as well as facilitate activities and flow of work and being consistent with the mission of UPHS – Portage.
Required Skills:
• Feeding Assistant Training upon hire
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Having an upbeat, high energy, positive, enthusiastic personality is necessary for this role
• Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Current State of Michigan CNA Certification or Physical Therapist Assistant Preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required (Available Upon Hire)
Annual Influenza Vaccination or Declination Required
Position Details:
0.8 – 1.0 FTE (32 to 40 hours per week)
Day/evening shift
Every 3rdweekend
